    FAIRY DRESS UP DAY

9 July 2026 (by Holly Evans (admin))

Our Reception class will host a magical Fairy Dress-Up Day on Friday 17th July to celebrate our literacy topic.

To bring our stories to life, we invite all children to come to school dressed as a fairy, elf, or magical woodland creature. Please do not feel the need to buy anything new; homemade costumes, a simple pair of wings, or a decorated t-shirt are perfectly wonderful! Don’t forget the glitter! Please ensure your child wears sensible footwear, as they will still be playing outside.

Throughout this special day, the children will engage in a variety of engaging learning activities designed to boost their early writing and language skills, including:

    • Going on a fairy hunt.
    • Writing messages inspired by our literacy book “We’re Off to Find a Fairy”
    • Building miniature woodland habitats in our outdoor area.
    • Sharing and reading favourite literacy texts together.
    • Making fairy wands.

If you have any questions or need support with a costume, please speak to the class teacher. Thank you for the continued support in making learning so memorable for the children.

    Warm regards,

    Miss Campbell
