Intent
Geography is essentially about understanding the world we live in. We provide our children the tools to investigate and explore. Children are encouraged to ask questions and find answers about the natural and human aspects of the world. Our curriculum allows children not only to discover more about the wider world but also to relate this to their own personal culture and heritage. We develop a greater understanding and knowledge of the world, as well as their place within it. At Saffron Green we celebrate and promote our local area and all it has to offer. Children’s curiosity is encouraged and geography inspires aspiration and opportunities for their future and all the world has to offer them.
