Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to let you know that our much-loved Mrs Costa will be leaving Saffron Green at the end of this week.

Mrs Costa has been fortunate to receive a wonderful opportunity to continue her career in a secondary school setting. While we are incredibly pleased for her, she is very sad to be leaving our school community, and we know many of you will feel the same.

The children have been aware of Mrs Costa’s news over the past week, which has given them time to share their goodbyes, memories and messages with her. We also have some special events planned in school to celebrate everything she has contributed to Saffron Green during her time with us.

I know many members of our parent community would also appreciate the opportunity to say goodbye personally. Mrs Costa will therefore be outside the front of the school after school on Friday and would love to see as many families as possible.

Although she may be leaving her role at Saffron Green, Mrs Costa will always remain a friend of the school. As many of you know, she lives locally and is very keen to continue supporting our community. She has already booked herself in for the Year 6 leavers’ party, and I am sure we will continue to see her at school events over the coming years.

Please do join us on Friday if you would like the chance to wish Mrs Costa all the very best in this exciting next chapter.
