Dear Parents and Carers,

We are excited to celebrate World Book Day at school soon!

On this day, children are invited to come to school dressed as a book character if they would like to take part. Dressing up is completely optional, but we always love seeing the wonderful creativity on display.

This year, instead of decorating classroom doors, we will be holding a special World Book Day Potato Competition! Children are invited to decorate a potato at home as their favourite book character and bring it into school on World Book Day.

Each class will have the opportunity to display their decorated potatoes in the hall, where all classes will be able to view and enjoy the fantastic creations. Teachers will then judge the entries, and a prize will be awarded for the best World Book Day potato!
