Dear Parents/Carers,

We are delighted to inform you that our school has been invited to select children to take part as player mascots at the Boreham Wood vs Newport County match on Sunday, 7th December 2025.

Children from the Saffron Green football teams were offered places first in order to fill the initial 22 spaces. We now have one remaining space available for a child in Year 2 to Year 6.

If you would like your child to take part, please call the school office by 5:20pm today.

This is a wonderful opportunity! During the experience, the children will:

• Walk out onto the pitch with the players for the line-up and handshake

• Appear in the official team photograph

• Watch the match free of charge

This fixture will also be televised, making it an even more memorable occasion.

Your child will be fully supervised throughout by school staff: Mr Fasset and Mrs Bossert.

Arrival and Uniform Requirements

Arrival:
Children must arrive at the stadium and meet school staff at 1:30pm on Sunday 7th December.

Uniform (must be exactly as listed):

• White polo shirt

• School jumper with the Saffron Green logo (please contact the office if you need one)

• Black bottoms – plain black shorts or plain black tracksuit bottoms, no logos

• Black socks

• Black shoes or astro-turf trainers

As the event is televised and the children will be representing the school, correct uniform is essential.
