A number of you have raised concerns over the weekend ahead of our cross country event today, following some information posted on social media regarding Hertswood Academy.
Please find below the official response from the school and confirmation that the event will be going ahead.
The safety of the students and staff was not at risk at any point during this incident, and there is no reason whatsoever for the date mentioned to be any different to any other school day. As far as the school is concerned the matter is now closed.Thank you to the vast majority of our community who use social media responsibly and have rightly shared their concerns with us over the rumour being spread on social media in the last few days"
